Currently, more attention is paid to the processes associated with tourism activities. The article presents an analysis of the topical issue of gastronomic tourism. The history of the concept, the current situation, a certain practice of organized gastronomic tours is considered. The analysis of some literary sources on a given topic. Speaking about Russia, in conditions of regional inequality and weak economic development, the growth of popularity to the topic of gastronomic tourism is a pressing issue.
