Gender-based emotionality and evaluation in German reports

The results of a study of modern German-language texts of the speech genre “reportage” are presented. The specifics of the use of emotionally evaluative vocabulary and figures of speech by male reporters and female reporters are revealed. The highest frequency index of the use of emotionally evaluative vocabulary by male reporters has been established.
