Gender component in the management of personal finances

The article deals with the terminological basis of personal finances and conceptual approaches to their management from the gender perspective in the modern financial practices. Based on the empirical data of the Russian and foreign public opinion polls differentiated by gender, it has been found that there is discrepancy between existing views on the role of gender component in the personal finance management and the actual manifestations of gender content in the financial behaviour.
