Similariton parabolic pulse generation in optical fiber amplifier with increasing chromatic dispersion

The conditions for generation of pulse with asymptotic parabolic envelope are studied in inhomogeneous optical fiber amplifiers. We have defined the normal group velocity dispersion profile, which leads to the formation of parabolic pulses with low frequency modulation rate. Simulation results show that the input pulse of certain energy with the start chirp has finally narrower bandwidth compared to the initially unmodulated pulse.
