Genetic structure of the Kemerovskaya and the Large White breeds of pigs on systems of blood groups

On large livestock of pigs of the Kemerovskaya and the Large White breeds from leading breeding farms of West Siberia the authors estimated the frequency of erythrocytes antigens and genetic structure of populations on seven systems of blood groups. In both breeds on majority loci no significant differences revealed between sows and hogs in the frequency of antigens, alleles and genotypes. The reliable differences were marked between pigs of the Kemerovskaya and the Large White breeds on single systems of blood groups. It was shown, that during 30 years considerable changes occur in genotypes and in the frequency of antigens and alleles on single loci in pigs of the Kemerovskaya breed.
