Бесплатный доступ

The article deals with the Biosafety System of the Republic of Belarus, which is elaborated according to peculiarities of international and national legislation, and state management. Control of genetically modified ingredients in Belarus is based on the detection of 35S promoter of cauliflower mosaic virus with application of two methods: PCR plus electrophoresis and PCR in real time. All products containing soybean and maize must be under control. Functioning of 18 testing laboratories, organized in the republic for GMO detection, is analyzed. The problems appearing due to the joining of Belarus to the Customs Union with Russia and Kazakhstan, and creation of the Common Free Market Zone are emphasized.
