Genetic factors of adaptation to training loads in weightlifting

This article presents data of the research aimed at selection of optimal training and competitive loads for weightlifters based on individual genetic features. The experimental group included highly skilled athletes (n = 178). During the experiment, it was found that some weightlifters had advantage in volumes of training loads in a macrocycle. Computer analysis of the load in association with the received genotypes allowed us to classify athletes on quickly and slowly trained. The aim of this work is development and experimental validation of theoretical and methodological foundations for long-term training of weightlifters based on individual genetic features. Four polymorphisms associated with physical activity were analyzed - ACE, ACTN3, PPARGCIA, and MSTN.
