Genetic control of ray flowers form in near isogenic sunflower lines

Inheritance of four nonstandard forms of ray flowers in sunflower was studied. It is determined that recessive gen alleles fs, ft, fm, ftw are responsible for short, short tube, middle and convolute ray flowers, respectively. Allele's relations and interac-tions of fs, ft, fm, ftw gens are established. Gens fs, ft, fm, ftw can be used in sunflower breeding for marking of varieties, hybrids and parental forms, as well as in seed growing of hybrids and their parental forms.
