The genesis of the institute of unauthorized construction

This article explores the historical aspect of the emergence of the institution of unauthorized construction in Russian law. The authors consider the evolution of legislative acts regulating the issues of unauthorized construction, starting from the pre-revolutionary period and ending with modern standards. Particular attention is paid to changing approaches to the recognition of ownership of unauthorized buildings, as well as legal mechanisms aimed at preventing abuse in the construction sector.
