Genesis of the epistolary form

This article discusses the genesis of the epistolary form. In particular, the author analyzes the appearance of the form of writing used in literary and artistic creativity, the circumstances affecting it. Historically, the original form of writing was subject letters, which were used before alphabetic writing. Through him, specific subjects were given a certain meaning and applied in various situations of public life. Along with this, a correspondence system known as "nodular writing" was used. Then "pictorial letters" are created, under the influence of which the types and forms of writing are consistently analyzed using such scripts as pictography, ideography, hieroglyphs, cuneiform.
