Genesis of the categories "evolution" and "development" of economic systems in economics

In the article, the authors pay considerable attention to the development of theoretical approaches to the definition of the economic content of the categories «evolution» and «development» in relation to socio-economic systems. A large number of works devoted to the study of the subject of the study, does not give a clear understanding of the essence of the categories presented, the ratio of the concepts of «development» and «evolution» also requires consideration and clarification. The article discusses the history of the evolutionary approach, the main aspects of its development, presents the characteristics of the main foreign and domestic works in the field of evolutionary Economics. Significant attention is paid in the work and the category of «development», the Genesis of which can be traced back to the works of J. Schumpeter. In their study, the authors explain how the categories «evolution» and «development» relate, contrasting the evolutionary and revolutionary nature of development, noting that the normal state for socio-economic systems is the evolutionary course of socio-economic processes in society. The paper considers the features of the application of the evolutionary approach to economic analysis, considers the main works in the field of evolutionary Economics, proposes its own approach to determining the essence of the evolution of socio-economic systems, evolutionary development and its laws.
