Concept genesis «Oral history»

The article is devoted to the analysis of the concept «oral history» which appears as a key tool in researching the role of an individual in local measurement as a source of historical process, as a factor of human will. The article describes various periodizations of the genesis of «oral history» in America, European countries, Russia. The author makes a conclusion that in the West oral history revived in the middle of the XXth century whereas people in Russia started talking about it only in the early nineties.
