Genesis of worship practices in neo-pentecostal churches

The author attempts to reveal the genesis of the worship practices playing a special role in the streamlined life of the Neo-Pentecostal communities. The expressiveness, dynamism and freedom to express religious feelings refer to the distinctive features of such practices. Both confessional and scientific interpretations of the worship practices are presented. The research describes the glorifying practice, the practices of adoration, putting religious everyday life at the center, spiritual sacred activity and sacred theater. The study examines the worship scheme including doxology, making a bow, praying for word, preach and worship songs. Based on an empirical material, the author analyzes the dynamic interaction between the natural tendency to typify religious everyday life and the religious personal experience of the divine during worship.
