The author highlights the genesis of legal regulation of the formation and development of evidence in domestic criminal proceedings. The attention is focused on the norms of domestic criminal procedural law of different years, regulating evidence. The atticle examines the dynamics of the development of evidence in criminal proceedings throughout the history of the country.
