On the genesis of the specialized legislation regarding the protection of semiconductor chip author’s rights

The article discusses the genesis and further development of a specialized intellectual property law - semiconductor chip author’s rights. The semiconductor chips, that were first described and produced during the second half of the previous century, despite their relatively short time of existence, have managed to infiltrate each and every possible part of life of both society as a whole and any given individual: they constitute the base of household appliances, computers, smartphones, production control units, on-board computers of cars, ships, airplanes and even space rockets and shuttles. Currently, the actualization of law, that regulates social relations in high-tech parts of economy, is one of the mail goals of any self-respectful country, and because of that scientific study of the history of such laws in order to pinpoint it’s basic characteristics is also becoming relevant.
