Genesis legislation on the protection of public legal interests in civil proceedings Russia

The article deals with the historical aspects of the problem relating to the protecting of public interest in civil proceedings. The characteristics which form the bodies of prosecutor's office as a means that protects the public interest in different political systems of Russia were analyzed. The authors consider that the complete elimination of the public prosecutor relating to protection of the public interest has extremely negative consequences, as well as their excessive dominance.
