The recurrence and course of genital infections and vesical cervix pathologies in females with cardiovascular disease were studied over a period from 2000 to 2008. The group of females examined included 356 women whose age varied from 16 to 72 years. The study showed that females with cardiovascular diseases should be classified as a risk group not only by taking into account the recurrence of genital infections but vesical cervix pathologies as well, including premalignancy. Females with cardiovascular diseases should be thoroughly examined by using colposcopy and cytologic screening to determine the tactics of their treatment from a position of evaluating the cervix state. Using low-frequency ultrasound to treat genital infections in patients with cardiovascular diseases, with a high infection risk, is a pathogenetically well-grounded, highly efficient method in preparation for operative treatment, prevention of possible postoperative complications and rehabilitation of patients in the postoperative period.
