Recently, genetic engineering is gaining more and more importance in one of the most conservative branches of agriculture - animal husbandry. The ability to artificially change the set of animal genes opens up great prospects for scientists, livestock breeders and humanity as a whole. The article examines a number of ethical problems generated by the widespread introduction of genetic engineering in animal husbandry, and analyzes the most optimal ways to solve them and the arguments for and against the development of this science. The issue of moral "standards" is being actualized, which will regulate various interventions in the nature of the animal. The latest technologies in the branches of this science are only gaining momentum in their powerful development, and therefore many of the results of these studies relate to moral, religious, universal human values.
