This study aimed to investigate the frequency distributions of p53 gene polymorphisms (including genotypic combinations and haplotypes) in the groups of long survivors and teenagers for determining a possible association with lifetime. Genotyping and analysis of p53 gene haplotypes in comparison groups were carried out using PCR-PDRF techniques. No impact of polymorphisms in the forth exon and in the third intron on lifetime was found, while hemozygous genotype with the absence of MspI site in the 6th intron is characterized by the marked negative association. Differences in haplotypic composition of p53 were shown to influence on lifetime depending on the level of heterozygosity.
