Genes of antibiotic resistance in bacteria Staphylococcus aureus: review of literature

This article discusses the different types of antibiotic resistance in staphylococci. Methicillin and oxacillin resistance, which is associated with the presence of the gene mecA transmitted as A part of the mobile element SSC (staphylococcal cassette chromosome), as well as vancomycin resistance, exogenously acquired from enterococci considered in detail.
