Geogrraphy of the Vym in folk songs

We consider a group of the so-called geographical songs - folklore texts with a strong spatial component. Geographical songs broadly existed in almost the entire territory of the Republic of Komi, but Vym tradition is different in qualitative and quantitative composition of the existing texts, which gives an indication of their stable place in the song system. The author recreates the general picture of existence of this genre, analyzes some features of poetics of the texts.
