In the interfluve area of rivers of Small Cara and Small Usa, in the vicinity of the summit Saurepe the unconformity contact between the preuralide complex (Riphean - Vendian) and basal part of the uralide comlex (Upper Cambrian - Lower Ordovician) is exposed. Five rock types have been determined. The features of rocks and debris suggest their supply from various sources. The petrographic and geochemical study of the basement rocks and overlying deposits suggests that the sedimentation of uralide section occurred at the initial stage of rifting on the continental margin in unstable tectonic conditions of shallow sea basin.
Unconformity contact, polar urals, weathering crust, gravelites, sandstones
