Geopolitical and geo-economic factors of relations between Russia and the EU in the modern conditions

The article analyzes geopolitical and geo-economic factors affecting the relations between Russia and the EU. The influence of the geopolitical and geo-economic factors on cooperation between Russia and the EU is considered. The author distinguishes three factors that affect the cooperation between Russia and the EU in the modern conditions: geographical priority, foreign trade between Russia and the EU, the EU economic sanctions against Russia. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the crisis in Ukraine and its economic consequences in the relations between Russia and the EU.
