Georgiy Ivanovich Chelpanov and the institutionalization of phychology in Russia

The article takes a look on the institutionalization of Russian psychology in the context of specialization and empirization of science. An attempt to streamline and reconstruct chronologically the process of the genesis, functioning and sophistication of the new scientific structure was made. This structure was embodied by G.I. Chelpanov - not only a philosopher and psychologist, but an organizer of scientific process. Making this research, we honor the memory of the founder of empirical psychology in Russia, which role in development of science was hidden by soviet ideology up to the end of the XX century.
