Gestational diabetes mellitus

The article presents an overview of gestational diabetes mellitus, the most common complication during pregnancy that requires immediate treatment. The pathogenesis of complications arising from the mother and fetus is also revealed. The problem of detecting GSD has acquired particular relevance and significance for the healthcare system at the moment due to the steady increase in the prevalence of such risk factors for GSD as obesity and late pregnancy. Diabetes detected during pregnancy is an important problem, therefore it is very important to carry out prevention in the early stages and to know its main features.
