The Fourth Industrial Revolution is transforming approaches to human work and leading to the emergence of new professions. Digital transformation of economic systems entails modifications in education. The National Technology Initiative has identified the educational sector of the Russian Federation as the market of the future EducationNet. The education market needs transformation, since the main obstacle to the transition to the digital economy is the lack of knowledge and skills. The article describes current trends in the EducationNet market and the transformation of the approach to training specialists in the digital economy. The author studied the experience of the «Digital Departments» project in teaching a flexible approach to creating IT products using the DevOps methodology. A DevOps engineer is a generalist in the field of information technology, whose activities cover the areas of planning, development, assembly, testing, market launch and deployment, operation and monitoring of a digital product. DevOps is project-based in nature and it is important for an engineer to organize the development, operation and support of a digital product in accordance with the challenges to adaptability in modern markets. As part of the study, students of the “Digital Department” project of the DevOps program were tested to understand the principles of the flexible Agile approach, the results of which are reflected in this article and can serve as practical recommendations when studying project management for the creation of IT products.
