Acrylonitrile transformation by nitrile utilizing Rhodococcus ruber gt1 and Pseudomonas fluorescens C2 bacteria cells entrapping in agarose gel structure has been carried out. Nitrile hydratase activity of immobilizing cells was shown to be retained, whereas nitrilase activity doesn't exceed 20% of initial. While operation stability of immobilizing P. fluorescens C2 cells nitrilase is higher then operation stability of R. ruber gt1 cells nitrile hydratase.
