It is established experimentally that the structure functional alterations in the liver of kittens infected with Diphyllo-bothrium dendriticum have nonspecific nature. The vascular abnormalities, the leukocytic reaction and the activation of reticuloendothelial cells (macrophages) in the liver of the infected individuals testify to the immune character of the invasive process and to the toxicity of tapeworms' vital functions products for kitten which are not obligate definitive host.
