The culturological prognostics of the global processes development continues to be one of the least developed areas of the humanitarian research. Nevertheless, there is the demand for such studies, because it is connected with the increasing environmental risks for the existence of mankind, caused by the dehumanization of modern civilization and its break with humanistic values. The role of literary dystopias in the culturological study of the processes of globalization remains quite significant, that is due to the demand for artistic prediction of the future of modern civilization. The study provides the culturological analysis of Orwell’s literary dystopia, which is an attempt to compare the writer’s work with the real processes of the change of modern societies under the influence of globalization. In this regard, the work of G. Orwell is an experience in implementing a systematic approach in forecasting global processes, which is quite relevant for the modern scientific prognostics, so the author discloses it in this paper.
