Globalization and the world-system analysis from the perspective of Russian and foreign historiography

Globalization is a process that is not clearly defined in modern social science. Scientific schools review globalization from different positions, so it is impossible to make an objective picture of this phenomenon without taking into account their researches. One of the authoritative globalization inquiry school is the school of world-system analysis. This approach gives a new look at the processes taking place in the world, not only in retrospect, but also in perspective, since representatives of this school of analysis give a lot of space in their studies to examine the causes of the modern capitalist system crisis. The author of this work examines the processes of globalization from the perspective of world-system analysis. The article analyzes the leading specialists’ works of this school in order to identify globalization processes understanding common patterns.
