Globalization: basic measurements and approaches to understanding

The article attempts to solve problems of theoretical and methodological character, based on the analysis of ideas between Western and Russian authors there are investigated the factors of globalization. It is shown how for objective reasons global promlems have covered all spheres of public life in different societies and their cultural and civilizational development was drawn into the orbit of accelerating multi-faceted globalization.
