Global civil society: strategies for countering international terrorism

The article is devoted to the phenomenon of “global civil society” and its influence on various spheres of life of the world community. The authors present the main conceptual approaches to its study, reviews its main structural elements and the reasons of its formation. The paper emphasizes possible and existing strategies for countering international terrorism by a global civil society represented by international non-governmental organizations.
