The article is devoted to the global value chains in the fashion industry. The concept of agile supply chains of clothing markets effected by changes in consumer behavior is explored. It was revealed that the leading global companies in the industry have switched to the business concept of fast fashion. The characteristics of the fashion market are considered. The factors causing TNCs in the fashion industry to actively outsource and organize global value chains have been investigated. The set of characteristics of global value chains managed by TNCs in the fashion industry is described in detail.
