Global environmental problems of the arctic zone: known positions and points of view of scientists

The article presents well-known positions and points of view on the environmental problems of the Arctic zone, highlighted indicators that assess the state of the environment. The author analyzed the degree of elaboration of the environmental problems of the Arctic. The article discusses the position of scientists on the impact of environmental problems on the indigenous peoples of the Arctic. It is concluded that the development of the Arctic should be focused not only on the economic, but also on the social niche. For the successful development of the Arctic region, it is necessary to create favorable conditions for the population to live.
