Deep structure of the Kara ring structure

The results of deep seismological investigations and gravity field interpretation of Kara ring structure are presented. The features of its deep structure and deep boundaries of the Еearth crust and upper mantle structural-material complexes and subcomplexes - shale (the boundary of F0), granite-gneiss (the boundary of F), diorite-gneiss (boundaries K1, K2) and granulite-basite (the boundary of K3) are revealed. Revealed features of the deep structure of the Kara ring structure allow to conclude that its origin is connected with the fall of a large meteorite that affected the sedimentary cover and the consolidated Earth's crust to depths of about 25 km.
