The article is devoted to the phenomenon of the concept of "urban media" and the analysis of the influence of urban media on the process of forming the cultural space of a modern city. Based on the practical experience of launching the urban media project "Let's turn into a pocket", the possibilities and specifics of the functioning of urban media in the context of the problem of the formation of urban identity are revealed.
