State duma in the geography of power and ethno-regional processes of the Russian empire

Historical and politological analysis of the complex of ethnic, confessional and regional processes and problems of the later Russian Empire (the years 1905-1917) in the system of «centre - region» through the prism of origination, formation and crisis of the first in the history of the Russian State Parliament - the State Duma - is presented in the article. Inter-relations of State power and the society, new geography of power after establishment of the State Duma of the Russian Empire are in the centre of attention.
