State innovation system as an instrument of social and economic development of the country

The article examines the problems and ways of development of the state innovation system. Most industrially developed countries today associate their hopes for long-term economic growth with the transition to an innovative path of development, characterized by a wider use in industry and the national economy as a whole of the latest achievements of science and technology - information technology, biotechnology, new materials, resource- and nature-saving technologies. Therefore, increasing the innovative susceptibility of enterprises and the economy as a whole is one of the main tasks of the modern state. The source of the study was the works of scientists, which examine the problems and ways of development of the state innovation system, as an important component of the national innovation system, the purpose of which is to improve the quality of life of the population by: creating additional jobs, both in science and in production and services; increasing revenues to budgets of different levels due to an increase in the volume of production of science-intensive products and an increase in income of the population; raising the educational level of the population; solving environmental and social problems through the use of the latest technologies.
