State protection and state protection in the activities of the national guard troops of the Russian Federation

The article examines the activities of the National Guard troops in the implementation of state protection of senior officials subject to state protection, the application of state protection measures against senior officials of the subjects of the Russian Federation, participants in criminal proceedings, as well as officials of law enforcement and regulatory agencies. The article considers the relations and differences between the concepts of “state protection” and “state protection”. In the article, the authors noted the prospects for further development of the activities of the Centers for Ensuring the Security of Senior Officials of the Federal State-owned Institution of the Department of Private Security to ensure state protection of senior officials of the subjects of the Russian Federation. In the context of further reform of law enforcement agencies, the authors of the article propose the transfer of powers in the field of ensuring state protection of law enforcement officials, participants in criminal proceedings to the National Guard troops. In this regard, the authors propose to expand the powers of the Rosgvardiya by giving it powers in the field of operational investigative work.
