State policy in the sphere of political literacy and political education of the Russian youth

The authors actualized problems of formation of political potential of the new generation of the Russian youth. The aims of the state policy in the sphere of development of political and legal literacy of the younger generation are revealed. The paper designated conditions of formation of all-professional and common cultural competences of youth for its successful adaptation to new Russian realities. The authors highlight the role of the state education system in realization of political potential of young citizens, and factors of political socialization of youth at the higher school influencing the level of its political literacy and political education.
