The state policy in the field of childhood protection in the Russian Federation

The article examines the characteristics of the state policy in the field of childhood protection in the Russian Federation. Children are a category of the population which needs a special protection. The implementation of the children's rights faces a number ofproblems, the main one being «social». Despite the fact that over the last five years there have been a decrease in the number ofparents deprived ofparental rights, it should be mentioned that the problem is still urgent in almost 20% of cases. Therefore, ensuring the right of every child to a comprehensive full development of the individual becomes the main task of the state and society in general. However, the current legal framework for the protection offamilies and children requests the revision and improvement. The state, through its agencies, is also deeply interested in the implementation of the mechanism of social partnership with the institutions of social protection, non-profit organizations in the field of children's rights protection and legal support activities, development ofpositive innovative experiences in this field. This interaction is an essential element in ensuring the protection of the children's rights.
