State regulation of interrelation between Russia and Europe in the second half of the17th - the first half of the 18th centuries

The problem of foreign culture components in the home history, their attachment and adaptation in the national history mechanism, the role of the state in this process are essential for understanding of the historical past, present and future and the perspectives of our Fatherland. The author emphasizes the great determining and regulating part of the state in the genesis and evolution of interrelation between Russia and Europe. The ruling elite representing Russia set strategical marks for the national political, economic and socio-cultural progress, regulated the intensity, directions, scope of the contacts, formed the emigration and immigration politics. Based on the core legislative act analyses their characteristic features are differentiated, the stages are singled out in the article. This research was carried out within the scope of the interdisciplinary programme of the UrD of the RAS 'The historical dynamics of Russia: factors, models, forecasts'.
