With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Africa, like many countries around the world, is facing a health and economic crisis that has put the well-being of millions of people at risk in just a few months, halting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. In these conditions, public-private partnerships are of particular importance, because it can have a positive economic effect on the development of the African countries, both during the pandemic and in the postpandemic period. Innovative projects implemented in African countries in the format of public-private partnership, including those ones with digital technologies, were analyzed. It is concluded that in the post-pandemic period, partnerships will be necessary to ensure rapid and safe vaccination on the continent. In addition, a sustained dialogue between business and African governments will be required to improve the sustainability of small and medium-sized businesses and start-ups in Africa.
