The paper discusses the inadequacy of the current cooperation model for the states in the international political arena. The study defines the significance and the scope of the state inequality issue. The research focuses on the widespread violation of the international law principle such as the sovereign equality of states; the case examples of the recognized violations are provided. Based on the analysis of the problem, the authors develop a number of activities that can identify the scope of the state inequality problem and enhance the role of international law principles in the interaction of states in the global political arena. In addition, the study reveals that the inviolability of the principle of sovereign equality of states can be achieved by the high level of legal culture among the states and the rejection of individual geopolitical ambitions.
