State management of the education system as a tool of social and economic development of Russia

The article reveals the importance of public administration of the education system in the Russian Federation, as well as discusses the principles, features and government bodies of education. The process of education management by the authorities of three levels is analyzed, the implementation of education management through strategic planning is also considered. The analysis of the procedures included in the state regulation of educational activities in the Russian Federation.
