70th anniversary of the state rocket center named after academician V.R Makeyev

The paper presents the 70 years of history and major projects of Makeyev SRC, the prime developer of strategic rocket systems. SRC designed and put into navy service three generations of rocket systems, eight base versions of submarine ballistic missiles and their sixteen upgraded versions, which represented and still represent the basis of naval strategic nuclear forces of USSR and Russia. The company has advanced industrial, research and experimentation facilities, which enable it to run full-scale tests of rocket and space hardware in environments that go as far as simulating flight in vacuum and zero gravity, as well as tests for all kinds of operational loads. The paper presents the already completed and future SRC projects under Russian and international rocket and space programs.
