This article analyzes current problems in public procurement, as well as ways to solve them. The focus is on the modernization and improvement of the contract system, as well as the threat of competition in the government procurement market. The relevance of considering this topic at the present stage is expressed in the need to apply tough measures to combat corruption in the field of public procurement, it justifies the need to improve legislation, due to the difficulties encountered in the implementation of state financial control in the field of procurement.
