State audit in the public administration system as a factor in ensuring the economic security of the region on the example of St. Petersburg

Budget fraud in the regions of the Russian Federation is a big problem, which is considered as a threat to economic security. The purpose of the study is to identify the problems of state audit and its role in ensuring the economic security of St. Petersburg. To achieve the goal, an analysis of the performance of the highest body of the state audit of the region has been carried out. The groups of negative impacts formed in the sphere of budget legal relations are highlighted.
