State and public control over compliance with labour protection requirements in educational institutions of higher education

The matters of administrative and public control in the sphere of labour protection in educational institutions of higher education are updated in the conditions of administrative and educational reforms. The analysis of competences and powers of the executive authorities empowered to carry out control and supervising functions in the sphere of labour protection will allow revealing specifics of the state control over labour protection system in educational institutions of higher education. In order to increase work and training safety in educational institutions it is necessary to improve the system of control and supervision over compliance with labour protection requirements by means of extending the zone of public control. Modern scientific developments of problems of labour protection and positive practice of corporate management of labour protection in Russian higher educational institutions, including the Chuvash State University named after I.N. Ulyanov allow making proposals to improve the system of administrative and public control in the sphere of labour protection. These changes must have a positive impact on the quality of working conditions of employees in educational institutions of higher education.
