State of corruption: who will win?

Under the conditions of the financial crisis the threat of social troubles is rapidly growing in scale, and corruption is irritating people more and more. While common people consider the world economic crisis as an objective phenomenon, the corruption is connected in their minds with a subjective factor: inability (or unwillingness) of the authorities to fight it. The former conditions of the "social contract' are being changed. Loyalty of the Russian society will be very likely conditioned by the political will and ability of the state to defeat corruption. But the "social contract' may yield results only on condition of uniting the efforts of the state and society in a real struggle against corruption.
